Since Create Engineering started in 2004, as part of RMJM Scotland, Education projects have been a mainstay of our work. Our experience has grown since we became independant in 2008.

The Edinburgh Academy – Rugby Pavilion
Working with Richard Murphy Architects and McLeod Aitken Quantity Surveyors, we developed a scheme for renovating and expanding the changing rooms at the School Sports Pitches whilst maintaining the original building.
The Higgs Innovation Centre
One of our bigger projects was the Higgs Innovation Centre for The Royal Observatory/The University of Edinburgh/STFC.
The Royal Observatory came to JM Architects and ourselves to take the project from scheme design to completion.
Main Contractor was Graham Construction.
The Edinburgh Academy – Hockey Pavilions
We worked with Richard Murphy Architects on the design for the Hockey changing rooms. The design included the requirement for a significant sized building kept low to the ground.
Main Contractor was ISG with MacLeod and Aitken as QS.
The University of Edinburgh – Sanderson Building
Working with Bennett Associates, we were asked to redevelop the old Sanderson Building at Kings Buildings in Edinburgh.
Morris and Spottiswood were Main Contractor.
The Edinburgh Academy – Junior School Classrooms
We were asked to help Richard Murphy Architects with a major development of classroom space, in keeping with the style of the Junior School
Main Contractor was John Dennis.
The Edinburgh Academy – Nursary School
Richard Murphy Architects asked us to get involved with a new Nursery school for Edinburgh Academy.
Main Contractor was The Dunne Group.
